In addition to its direct investing activities through its Corporate Partners Funds, PCG Capital Partners has been actively supporting investments led by top-tier financial sponsors since 1994. The PCG CP team's experience with and involvement across the full spectrum of private equity investing results in a unique perspective that allows us to select the best co-investment opportunities for our investors and execute quickly with our investing partners.
PCG CP's co-investment funds seek to make targeted private equity investments alongside leading financial sponsors. Our co-investment activity enables us to invest in a diversified portfolio of operating companies, by partnering with their owners -- typically private equity investment firms, whose history and principals we know well. Our investment activity is typically characterized by the following elements:
- The additional capital enables the lead investor to consider larger investments, broadening the pool of opportunities
- The lead investor is able to manage fund concentration issues
- Although PCG CP sometimes take a board seat, we have no requirement to do so
- Because we rely to a considerable extent on the skill, diligence and integrity of the sponsor with whom we team, we choose our partners with care
- Many of PCG CP's core sponsor relationships have emerged from, and are reinforced by, our 14-year history as a large and influential limited partner
- Investments of $20 million - $75 million in size
